For Cathedral Canyon Golf Course rentals just call the Welk Resort main number in Cathedral City. They'll fix you right up. It's been a while since we stayed there but the rooms were very nice staff was most pleasant and accommodating.
Don't know phone course directly
UPDATE: As of Wednesday 2/20/2019, the full course is open. Holes 1 and ten are now playing as par 3. All other holes are perfect. As of Monday, the front 9 of the course is open. Hole one has been truncated from a par 5 to par 3 due to fairway damage. The back nine is closed until we can clear a safe path from the clubhouse across the wash. Fairway ten sustained damage and will likely, when open, be a par 3 or 4. No real estimate on when the back 9 will be accessible. The driving range sustained the most damage and will be closed for a longer period of time. No estimate for when it will be open again. Practice putting green and a small chipping green are available for use. Phone lines were damaged during the flooding. As of Monday, phones were inoperative. No estimate on the repair time. If you would like to book a tee time, use the JC Golf app on your phone or tablet, or visit jcgolf.com to book a tee time.
Mens Taylor made, Womens Adams
The course is 6172 yards from the white tees. 5441 from the red tees. 6505 from the blue tees. 18 challenging holes. When the course re-opens October 29, the rates will be $64.
Varies by time of day and time of year. Twilight is as low as $19. The best rates are online.
Yes, alot of water.
This course is in excellent condition. It is by far the best value in the desert. I would recommend this course for any handicap. The views are amazing the people are friendly and the restaurant/bar is open and very good.
Great course. Fun but challenging. Helpful friendly staff.
We golf there on March 4th and 8th. First the course has damage to the driving range, 1st and 10th holes. They didn't inform us or provided any compensation. On the 4th it took 5hr to play this course after teeing off at 7:30am. On the 8th they had a small tournament and that delayed our tee time 1hr. The ladies were playing the red blocks, but due to the tournament they had replaced these blocks with large dice. So they started playing the dice. After a few holes an employee came and picked up all these markers as well. When I complained in the proshop the guy behind the counter asked if I was looking in the correct spot. Very poor management of a golf course.
Price is good. Greens are good. Maintenance on the rest of it is not so good. On course bathrooms are in bad shape don't seem clean. Not nearly enough drinking water on the course.
This course was horrible....3 of us golfing tee time 8:54 the guy tells us to have the golf carts back by 1PM. Mind you some reviews state it takes almost 5 hours which that was the pace we were on....Well we stopped at the 9th hole....nothing green about this course not maintained at all....didnt even have new score cards in the carts....can only hey beer basically it's off season so there is no bar right now. It stunk on some holes seems as though they are draining a lot of the ponds....I could go on and on but I'm done will not be back oh and the pro shop smells likes mold....it is an older establishment....not worth the 24 bucks but 10 minutes away at escena golf course top notch and beautiful. Do not let the pictures fool you...
Meer shadow of its former glory. Haven't golfed here since 2015 and barely recognized the course. Hard times in deed. We golfed on the $39 "Golf & Lunch" package offered in January. Would never part with the regular $65 greens fee - much better courses, better maintained available in the Valley. I used to love this course. Won't be returning.
Continental breakfast for a resort would seem like standard practice however this is one of the few places to ever realize it. Resorts like this are often struggling to produce income; especially often over taxed owners of gay resorts in southern California. The resort does need some repairs and better security but that could be solved with some sound investors and a better business strategist. All in all, this is my favorite down home style resort in all of southern LA. Be sure and check out all of their weekend events, summer discount specials and free cookouts (mainly weekends and Wednesdays).
I played here on September 25, 2019 in the morning.I thought it strange that no one was playing golf there. When I arrived at the first tee, I knew why. There is no grass in the fairway until the end.Plus all bunkers are so hard like rocks and no rakes at all.It was definitely the worst golf course in my life.
Good place
Steve creps does an amazing job teaching. Wonderful place to go. Cafe food was great.
Just passing through.
I think the place is awesome I would definitely like to move here is a rental here I'd like to get but I don't know if they take VA vouchers for rental assistance mean I'm on a veteran spouses at Belcher and I don't know if they do but it probably more than I'm going to get on my voucher so but it's real nice
My best friend lives there
Arrived early to warm up and hit some balls. They were out of ballsand the guy working there was not apoligitic.....even had a little attitude!
Very nice course. For my friend and I, it was on the difficult side. Some of the fairways are a little on the tight side with all of the homes/condos lining it. Not for the novice golfer, nor if you are prone to a slice/hook on occasion. I'd save the frustration of that for a more open course. All that aside, I'd still recommend to those more confident in their swing.
Course in good shape. Pace of play was good.
Great seasonal value.
Greens were great! Pace of play was excellent.
Never been a huge fan of the golf course. It'll be interesting to see what its like after the winter weather and grand reopening in Oct 2019.
Has greatly improved over the last two years
Don’t live anywhere on Marguerite St. near their golf maintenance shed. The workers play LOUD music, yell loudly, and fire up their equipment starting at 4:30am even on Sundays. I can hear all this from INSIDE my house.I’m sure all this is a city code violation.I’ll be looking into it.
Good service. Friendly. Food was ok. Cold night in the desert. No heat. I froze!!
New resturant opening in October can't whate to try it out all are welcome
Great track in fantastic condition this week that is challenging and requires properly place shots with all the water holes.
This course is in very good condition. Even the rough is green. A challenging course without being unfair. Will definitely be back.
Friendly and knowledgable. Beautiful place.
Spent a week playing the course and had a great time. Staff was outstanding, Patrick, Linda, Bob, Stan, James, and all the rest. Seeing many improvements, removing of trees and well stocked pro shop. The course plays fair, play away from trouble and score well. Greens fair, great sand, tee box"s mowed and clean. I cant wait to get back and play it again. Great value in the valley.
Priced a bit higher than some of the public courses, but in better condition.
Nice course.Beautiful greens
Nice track. A few holes damaged from storm but overall a good place for all types of players.
Just opened greens will be slow for awhile
Outstanding condition of all greens , traps etc , fairways filling in nicely , lot of improvements in past year , price to play is low compared to most courses
Very challenging course with protected putting greens. A lot of water. Great views
Visited a friend that lived here, didn't Golf.
Nice layout, great mountain views, not an easy course, quite challenging, no trickery though. Not as will manicured as many but a real test of your abilities.
Lovely evening - great happy hour and loved acoustic guitar with Sergii Villagas. Our waiter Nate was gracious. Food was good too. An evening at Cathedral Canyon Golf Club has provided a lovely last night in Palm Springs. I'm sad to leave, but m grateful for our time in the sunshine.
Played 4 rounds through UnderPar cost $85 us for 2 players, with free same day reply great deal played 27 holes 3 times.Staff was great course is in good condition tee off was 6:30am done by 9:15 amazing.Great place to play!!Only complaint charged my 6 dollars for 2 coffees, and it was not a 3 dollar cup of coffee!
Flood damage to #1 and #10 fairways. Greens are firm and easy to read
Top notch golf and Rick the quick Butler is the best!
Greens in good shape, but very slow...due to recent floods, holes 1 and 10 are now temporary Par 3s
Nice people afternoon rates cheap pretty fun course
They really don't take care of their greens. It's municipal quality but green fees are cheap and my golf isn't very impressive anyway. I'd go again. I had fun too.
I feel the sunny heat of the summer is the reason it's just okay. It's not easy to cover dead patches but theirs quite a few.
Enjoyable, better than I expected. Greens, fairways in good condition.
Great ace for a round of golf in Palm Springs
Great course and great condition. Very fun to play. Great Value with lots of improvements recently.
Good house wines and very good bang bang shrimp. Shashito peppers need to be grilled more but were ok.
Just a so do course for the fees needs a lot of work and up grades and things.
Play golf and take lessons here
One of our favorite golf courses in Palm Springs, we were sorry to see the damage done by the heavy rains this year. We were still able to play all 18 holes but other facilities and services were shut down if not for the rain damage, for the summer heat. We're looking forward to the reopening.
